Care Takers

Care Takers, our play that looks at homophobia in schools and the policies and procedures that are in place to try and combat it, came about through original research undertaken by Billy Cowan, the writer and director, for Edge Hill University.

Secondary school teachers and pupils in Manchester, Rochdale and Macclesfield were interviewed to find content for the play and data was also collected via a Bristol Online Survey (and feedback forms) from audiences who saw the play to measure its impact.

If you are interested in our research findings, please click on the report button below. The findings may be of particular interest to teachers and educational professionals, and LGBT organisations. The original Bristol Online Survey responses are also attached. Names and addresses of respondents have been removed for data protection purposes.
